Dr. Susana Claro is an Associate Professor in the School of Government at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Dr. Claro is also a research collaborator at PERTS (Project for Education Research that Scales); her research interests focus on low-income students, teachers, and socio-emotional skills.
Dr. Claro is the Co-Founder of Enseña Chile, part of the Teach For All network. Previously, she was the Director of Transformational Teaching with Teach For All. She also served as advisor to the Secretary of Education in Chile, where she helped schools recover from the earthquake and worked on developing collaborative software for classrooms in different schools around the world.
Dr. Claro is an advisory board member for Comunidad Mujer, the Global Learning Lab at Teach For All, and Impulso Docente, among others. She has taught students in the United States and Chile from K-16. Dr. Claro graduated as a civil engineer and computer scientist from Chile. She earned a Master's in Education from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Economics and Education from Stanford University.
